EBRD can grant a loan to Air Liquide Balakovo up to 800 million rubles.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to allocate credit to Air Liquide Balakovo, a subsidiary of the French Air Liquide, the world leader in the manufacture of industrial gases in the amount of 800 million rubles, says message of the bank.
Credit may be granted for the construction of the plant for the production of industrial gases in the territory of JSC “Severstal – Sort Balakovo plant” (100-percent “daughter” of “Severstal”) in the Balakovo area of Saratov region.
In April 2011, Air Liquide and JSC “Severstal” has signed a long-term contract worth 40 million euros (1.2 billion rubles) to supply industrial gases for the JSC “Severstal – Long Balakovo plant.”
Total “Severstal” in 2010-2011, has sent about 350 million dollars (10.7 billion rubles) for the construction of sort plant in Balakovo. It is expected that the total investment in the project should reach over 600 million dollars.
JSC “Severstal – Sort Balakovo plant” – a mini-steel plant of the new generation, oriented to the production of products for the construction industry. Production capacity will exceed one million tons of rolled in a year. The plant will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2013.
Air Liquide – the world leader in industrial gases, has contracts with major industrial companies in the petrochemical industry of Russia. In 2010 a contract was signed with “RusVinil” (a joint project of Sibur and SolVin) for the supply of techgases to be created in the Nizhny Novgorod region of PVC production, planned investments Air Liquide – 60 million euros.
